DESCRIPTION:

Regardless of your artistic desires; writing, painting, music, sculpture, photography, dance, or even if you are just looking for a new direction in life, this course is designed to help you overcome blocks to creativity and rekindle life-enriching goals. This experiential workshop will involve the use of Julia Cameron's bestseller The Artist's Way, as well as other tools designed to discover the voices within that both enhance and block our creative endeavors. Group process and individual exercises will be used to uncover and embrace these inner selves.
The workshop is also designed to build a support community that allows for sharing and personal growth in a non-judgmental environment. This safety net can be highly valuable in offsetting fears, self-doubts, and the cultural biases that work against creative living. Risks become easier to take and negative self-talk is viewed from a clearer perspective.
Workshop participants will be encouraged each week to use The Artist's Way tools (morning pages, artist date, chapter exercises) as homework while reserving class time for sharing, support, and group processing.
Prepare to open yourself to higher levels of personal growth and new possibilities in creative living.
